Ayurvedic approaches to customize your practice

Combining Ayurveda and Yoga allows you to customize your yoga practice to your unique body type and individual constitution. Ayurveda and Yoga have been utilized together since their inception well over 5,000 years ago. Both healing systems are based upon natural law and are used to balance and harmonize the body, mind, and spirit. According to Ayurveda, everything comprises the five elements: Ether, Air, Fire, Water, and Earth. These five elements coalesce into energy patterns known as the doshas: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. These influence every person’s physical makeup and emotional outlook. Aligning your yoga practice with your body type will bring balance, vitality, and bliss.

There is a yoga sequence to balance each Vata, Pitta, and Kapha; each 30 minutes long. You can mix and match to customize your practice to your needs on a dynamic basis.

· Energizing Kapha Balancing Yoga Sequence (Dynamic)

· Cooling Pitta Balancing Yoga Sequence (Moderate)

· Rejuvenating Vata Balancing Yoga Sequence (Gentle)
